Hold the cast input and time the meter’s green zone.

Saving for Snow? Keep those Desert legendary fish.
The test-server Snow gate asks for three legendary fish caught on Desert. If you have two, keep both and catch one more. Selling one makes the coin gap smaller but the fish gap larger.
White Tiger uses Desert legendary fish too, but each must weigh at least 1,000 kg. Do not assume the same three fish can pay two separate turn-ins.

Land your first fish
Equip a rod with a fishing skill, hold to time your cast, work through the fish fight, then use the skill at the white finishing marker. A hooked fish becomes usable progress only after you land it.

A skill is part of the fish-finishing sequence. Attach it to your rod, keep it available for the finishing marker, and unattach it from the old rod before moving it to a replacement.

The demonstrated route is Starter → Jungle → Desert → Snow → Volcano → Frozen Seal. Unlock islands in order and protect the fish needed for the next gate before selling your inventory.
