Fishing Master Selling Guide: Keep Quest Fish, Earn Coins
Sell completed catches to the Fish Merchant, but reserve the fish already required by your next island, rod or race quest. Coin income and quest progress compete for the same inventory.
Keep these catches when that goal is next
Quest costs and item counts below come from Bùm Roblox’s test-server walkthrough, reviewed October 3, 2026. Match the live NPC request before spending or handing in fish. Translated names are identified where the current English label is uncertain.
| Your goal | Fish or items to protect | Reason |
|---|---|---|
| Unlock Snow | 3 Desert legendary fish | Reported island-4 entry requirement. |
| White Tiger | 3 Desert legendary fish, each ≥1,000 kg | The race adds individual weight gates. |
| Unlock Volcano | The 3 requested Snow species | The gate asks for species, not any 3 fish. |
| Unlock Frozen Seal | The 3 requested Volcano fish at 1,200 / 2,000 / 2,500 kg | Origin, species and minimum weight all matter. |
| Later sixth-island rods | 5 local legendary fish or a local mythical fish | Requirements differ by rod quest. |
| Fish race / V2 quest books | Fish race needs three named books; V2 needs one unused matching book | Keep each quest’s exact book condition separate. |
Make one deliberate sale
- 01
Read your next quest or gate
Choose the goal you are working toward and record every required item. If a fish meets both an island gate and a race quest, do not assume one turn-in pays both.
- 02
Inspect catch origin, rarity and weight
Check the individual fish against the request. A qualifying rarity with the wrong island or insufficient weight may still fail the quest.
- 03
Reserve quest items before visiting the merchant
Use the live inventory’s protect/lock function if available; otherwise select only non-quest catches. Do not assume a Sell All option automatically keeps valuable quest fish.
- 04
Sell and compare the coin balance
Sell the catches you deliberately selected to the Fish Merchant. Check the balance change before making the planned purchase or continuing to save.
Faster income starts with complete catches
A rod or skin bonus helps only when you land fish reliably. Fix repeated skill/cooldown stalls, then compare a rod upgrade with saving for access to the next island. Change one purchase at a time so you can tell which improvement helped.
The creator reports a manual pity counter reaching a legendary-or-higher result after 50 catches in the test build. Keep an eye on the counter in your live game; a rare result may be a quest item worth keeping instead of immediate sale value.
Also check the daily Rewards menu
Roonby’s October 1 guide describes a daily claim in Rewards and reports 10,000 coins. Check the live menu for availability and its displayed amount before collecting. This is an optional reported source of coins, not a guaranteed daily amount or a substitute for landing and selling catches.
Use your own sale result instead of a fictional value table
The source set does not supply a current sale formula for every species, weight, skin and race. For a fair comparison, keep your equipment constant and compare the actual coins credited by one sale. Do not treat a fish’s kilogram weight as its coin value.
Gameplay routes use Bùm Roblox’s test-server walkthrough; current prices and translated names need a live menu check.
